Long time no post! so heres a quick one before i study for humanities ( and go watch zack and cody on disney!!!)
Things im contented with right now:
1. my new polar bear tape. so they have this slogan, "crystal clear tape"? i was pretty skeptical at frist, i mean after all the crap tapes ive seen in my life, they've all got air bubbles, or are slightly yellowish, none of them EVER crystal clear.
But seriously! no joke, they really mean crystal clear. i can practically see polarbearpolarbearpolarbear written on the paper right inside the roll ( right at the end of the roll of tape?) and its srsly really clear.
and the best thing is: *drumroll* IT TEARS!!!! I've come across enough types of tape to know that tear-able tape that isnt yellow is quite harrd to come about. most "clear" ( but now as good as polar bear) tapes cant tear, just stretch like xiao and make you mad. only yellow tapes tear cleanly and reasonably well.
HOWEVER! its yellow tape, which is the entire point! taping yellow tape on some white worksheet isnt very advisable its kind of really ugly. BUT! polar bear provides CRYSTAL CLEAR TEAR-ABLE tape!!! its the only tape im ever going to buy from now on. i KNOW i should have bought the 10 for 7.70 pack!!! grrr
in fact, im so impressed im not even going to put it in my pencil case with the rest of my oencil cos then the sides would get black and the whole crystal clear become clear with borders! yay i love polar bear tape.
2. my new pasar malam $2.00 white cube!
ok so yesterday i bought this white (rubiks) cube for $2 at some pasar malam at jurong east? i just bought it cos it was white and the sticker colours were kind of good. i kind of expected it to suck, but bought it cos all my prior experience with white cubes were good, most of them were at least decent. but WOW the cube ROCKS.
firstly, the stickers ( unlike real Rubiks) DO NOT catch on your fingernails so it probably will not start to come off!!!
Secondly, its really loose, ( dropping it means instant destruction) so turns really smoothly ( althought it doesnt cut corners very well) even though the insides are proabably not too smooth because you can hear the plastic-grinding-against-plastic sound, could do with some lubrication but im not going to since my last attempt at lubricating a cheap cube failed disastrously ( spelling? ).
thirdly, its VERY light. from prior experience, all decent cubes are pretty heavy, maybe with metal cores?( part metal) but this probably has 100% plastic core or something. its super light, and just great! ( except for cutting corners. but nothings perfect)
